Shane Benson brings a lifetime of connection to the people and communities of the Missouri Ozarks to his new career in real estate. Born in Kennett, Missouri, and raised in Alton, Shane understands the values, lifestyle, and sense of community that make this area such a special place to call home.

After a rewarding career in education, Shane retired from teaching but knew he wasn’t ready to stop working with and helping people. Real estate provides him with a new opportunity to stay connected to his community while helping individuals and families achieve their goals. What Shane enjoys most about real estate is helping people find the property that gives them the opportunity to create everything they have dreamed of, whether that means finding a family home, acreage in the country, recreational land, or a place to begin their next chapter.

Although retired from the classroom, Shane remains actively involved with local students as a part-time girls basketball coach at Alton High School. His years as an educator and coach have given him extensive experience in communication, leadership, teamwork, and building lasting relationships, qualities he now brings to his clients throughout the real estate process.

Outside of work, Shane enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching basketball, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Kotona Benson, have three children, Cassie and husband Kyle, Celsie and husband Blane, and Chase, and seven grandchildren. Family and community remain an important part of his life and are at the heart of his decision to begin this new career.
